World Class Resources for Players and Coaches of All Skill Levels
If you are looking for a library of basketball drills covering every type of skill in basketball, you have come to the right place. Our extensive selection of basketball drills is all recorded in high-quality video and come with written instructions as well. Each drill is instructed by an expert basketball coach or trainer. Along with a coach instructing, there is also a high-level player(s) demonstrating. This will allow viewers to be better able to understand the drill and the details of the drill better.
This section of basketball drills is going to cover all of the basics. And, while it has some standard drills, most are going to be teaching based. With these teaching videos, both players and coaches will be able to learn how to do different moves correctly and the teaching points that go along with them. This is important because the better a player can learn the correct way to do a move, the better it will translate to a game. For example, you can have a basketball drill that works on a duck in post move. But, if a player hasn’t first learned all of the details of the duck in post move first, it isn’t going to be nearly as effective.
The more basketball evolves, the more shooting becomes a focal point of the game. With the three-point shot getting more and more emphasis, players that can shoot are not a luxury anymore, but a necessity.
Our basketball shooting drills section is going to provide all of the shooting drills that you could ever need to work on shooting. From catch and shoot to triple threat to off the dribble, we have hundreds of basketball shooting drills to choose from. This will allow a player to work on the types of shots that they will get in a game, as well as being able to continue to develop their overall game.
In today’s game of basketball, it is becoming the standard for every player to be able to handle the ball. Post players are now able to bring the ball up the floor, and even start the offense. Whether you are looking for that type of offense or not though, it is still important for every player to be able to handle the ball at least a little bit. With all of the different ball handling drills that we offer, this is not going to be an issue.
The highest percentage shot in basketball is right at the basket. Unfortunately, the defense also knows this and is going to do everything that can to stop finishes at the basket. Good offensive finishers though are still able to attack the basket and finish at a high percentage.
They are able to do this by sometimes finishing over the defender, but most of the time finishing around them. With different types of finishes, body control, change of pace, etc. they are able to avoid the defense for a quality finish.
More times than not, rebounding comes down to heart and effort, not who is the biggest. That being said though, there are still plenty of ways to work on rebounding technique and also ways to inspire players to battle on the boards. The basketball rebounding drills in this section are going to be able to help with both.
Some of these basketball rebounding drills are going to be single player drills that will allow for working on technique, pursuing the ball, etc., while, others are going to allow players to compete against each other.
Being able to pass the basketball is the lifeblood of a team. The better the ball is able to be moved around the floor, the better the scoring opportunities will be. That means that players that can pass the basketball well are able to add a ton of value to a team.
These basketball passing drills are going to be able to work on several different areas of passing and types of passes. Whether it is handling pressure and being able to make a pass or hit a teammate with a pass off of the dribble, this section has a variety of passing drills to choose from. With all of the different passing drills, players will be able to work on making on target and on time passes.
If you are the coach of a basketball team, this is going to be your go-to section. All of the basketball drills in this section are designed with the team in mind. This does not mean that the other sections can’t be used for team drills. It just means that all of the basketball drills in this section are able to incorporate the whole team. They will work on different skills like shooting, ball handling, etc. and will be able to include all of your players. Along with working on specific skills, there are also basketball drills to work on game situations like defense, transition, and more.
Competing may not be a statistical category like shooting or rebounding, but it absolutely has an impact on the game. Players that are able to battle and compete on every possession are going give themselves a chance to be successful. And, while a lot of times players already have that edge about them or not, there are ways to improve a player’s competitiveness.
These basketball competition drills are going to focus on precisely that. All of them are geared to bring out a player’s competitive side in a healthy way. From one on one drills to rebounding drills to ball handling drills, all of the drills in this section have a competition factor to them.
Playing good defense has a lot to do with a player or team being willing to compete at a high-level. It also has a lot to do with having excellent technique, footwork, etc. A player needs to have both to be a quality defender. One without the other isn’t going to get much done.
The basketball defensive drills in this section are going to be able to work on both. Some of the drills are going to work solely on proper defensive techniques for a slide or closeout, while some will be competition based. Having both will allow you to be able to spend time developing both the technical side of defense and also the competitive side.
